Conceptual Design
You have likely heard this term before - Conceptual Design. It refers to the early phase of the design process, in which the broad outlines of function and form of something are articulated. It includes the process of design, the strategy.
The next time you have a space you are wishing to transform, consider your own personal process that you might use to achieve your desired result.
For example, consider how you might feel after you design your perfect space. What statement does your space proclaim? How does your new space interact with the rest of your environment? Now, remember the wise saying, “begin with the end in mind”. Remember, the best path to moving forward is knowing exactly where you wish to arrive. Design your space with a clear end vision. Consider your colors, your decor, your spacial arrangement, and create your design process around your end goal.
